Table Quiz - The 51, Wed 10th October 2012 Summer is now a distant dream as the nights are closing in, so why not grab some know-it-all friends and join us at our next fundraiser? SAAS Charity Cycle - 24th September 2011 At 8.00 a.m. on Saturday 24th September, our first ever SAAS Charity Cycle team departed UCD. Alison O'Gorman, Natalie Reid, Kevin Stiles and our director Gina Woods cycled the 136 kilometre distance from UCD to Ferrybank. The team raised an amazing €700 which will be used to help cover SAAS's day-to-day running costs. Table Quiz in Kielys Mt. Merrion, Feb 4th After the success of our last table quiz SAAS will be having another in Kielys of Mount Merrion on February 4th. This event promises to be a great night with some fantastic prizes for the quiz and the raffle. We hope to see you there.

Table Quiz in Dicey Reillys, September 30th On September 30th SAAS held a table quiz in Dicey Reillys bar to raise funds for the day to day running costs for the organisation. The evening was a great success with a quiz and raffle. The event raised over €1,000 for SAAS and was attended by almost 50 people. SAAS would like to thank all of the participants, those that donated prizes, and our quiz master, John Dunnion from UCD.

Maths Camp 2009 Maths Camp 2009 took place last August. Once again we were welcomed by Tudor school in Mombasa who kindly hosted the event. This year we had just under 100 students ranging from form 1 through to form 4. The tutoring team from Ireland were supported by a local team made up of former SAAS sponsored students. For 4 days we all worked really hard. To keep up our energy levels Mama Cecelia provided us with delicious home cooked food. Maths camp is now becoming an annual event. Maths Camp 2008 After reviewing the performence of students in various subjects we noticed a distinct problem in Mathematics. Three third level lecturers and three teaching assistants went to Mombasa to deliver a crash course in mathematics to SAAS students.

Trent Keegan R.I.P. It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our friend Trent Keegan. Trent was a great friend of SAAS and had spent time with us and contributed greatly to our work. You can pay tribute to Trent by visiting his website.

Three Peaks Challenge On the June Bank Holiday weekend in 2007 20 intrepid volunteers climbed Croagh Patrick, Benbulben and Mount Errigal in aid of SAAS.
